How it all began....
Stone Hill Veterinary Clinic in Big Rapids was established in 1995 by Wendell S. Weber, DVM. The clinic was built to accommodate both large and small animal patients. Dr. Weber initially did farm calls for both cattle and horses, at the same time developing a thriving small animal practice.
|
Three years later, Dr. Weber built a large barn behind the clinic, using trees that he cut from his farm and sawed on his mill. The new facility enabled more large animal patients, especially horses to be transported to the practice, thus expanding equine reproduction and surgery capabilities.
|
In 2000, Ann E. Smith, DVM joined the practice, focusing on small animal preventative care. The clinic was further expanded in 2008, when Dr. Weber added onto and remodeled the building, allowing for a better flow for the small animals. Matthew J. Grupido, DVM joined the practice in 2020, focusing on small animal surgery and general medicine.

Protect your pet against Parasites
The leaves are falling and so are the temperatures. Even though it may seem cold outside, you still need to protect your pet against heartworm, fleas, and ticks. These pesky parasites are becoming more and more resilient and in order to keep your pet safe, we recommend using heartworm and flea and tick preventions year round.
