Radiographs (X-rays)

Stone Hill Veterinary Clinic, P.C. are capable of performing radiographs (x-rays) at our facility.  Radiography is an imaging technique that enables us to view internal structures on a film.  Radiographs are an important tool that can be used to help correctly diagnose your pet.  We are able to perform x-rays on both small animals and horses.

Dental

Dental disease is one of the most common health problems in pets.  Common signs of oral disease include bad breath; buildup of plaque on teeth; red, inflamed, sensitive, or bleeding gums; excessive drooling; reluctance to eat hard food or chew on hard bones/toys; reluctance to be touched on face or near mouth.  Once your pet displays any of these warning signs, serious periodontal disease may be present.  Therefore, an oral exam should be done yearly to help track your pet's oral health.  We can consult you on home dental care as well as determine when your pet needs a dental cleaning.  Please call our clinic to discuss the following services for your pets.

  •  Preventive Care
  •  Oral/dental exams
  •  Dental Cleanings
  •  Tooth Extractions

Surgical Laser

Stone Hill Veterinary Clinics, PC are proud to offer state of the art laser surgery technology.  Laser surgery is a less painful alternative for your pet.  Laser energy instantly vaporizes the water found in tissues, allowing it to "cut" or essentially remove an extremely small area of tissue.  The energy seals nerve endings and blood vessels as it moves through the tissue, resulting in less bleeding, less pain and virtually no trauma to the surrounding tissue.

The benefits of laser surgery include:
  •  Less pain
  •  Less bleeding
  •  Less swelling
  •  Extreme precision
  •  Reduced risk of infection
  •  Quicker recovery

Ultrasound

Stone Hill Veterinary Clinic, P.C. are fortunate to offer ultrasound for both small animals and horses.  Ultrasound is a type of imaging that uses high-frequency sound waves to look at organs and structures inside the body.  The probe is placed on an animal and generates images of internal structures that are inside your pet.  We also utilize the ultrasound in horses for breeding exams.
